Fountain Set Group accredited “Green Medalist” and “3 Years + entrant” awards in Hang Seng-Pearl River Delta Environmental Awards 2010/11 

Hong Kong．China．10 January 2012 – Fountain Set (Holdings) Limited (“The Group”, “Fountain Set”, SEHK: 420), a global leader in the manufacturing of circular knitted fabrics, is pleased to be accredited a “Green Medalist“ award and a “3 Years + entrant” award in the Hang Seng-Pearl River Delta Environmental Awards 2010/11 for recognizing the Group’s successful completion in three or more environmental projects and has taken part in the Awards for three consecutive years. The Group’s subsidiary Dongguan Shatin Lake Side Textiles Printing & Dyeing Co., Ltd. (“Lake Side”) has been participating in the “One Factory-One Year-One Environmental Project Programme” since 2008, which was jointly organized and launched by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (“FHKI”) and Hang Seng Bank. 

The award presentation ceremony was held in the headquarters of Hang Seng Bank on 10 January 2012. Mr Edward YAU Tang-wah, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment, HKSAR, presented awards to the awardees. FHKI’s “Hang Seng-Pearl River Delta Environmental Awards” was set up under the manufacturing category of the “One Factory-One Year-One Environmental Project Programme”. It aims to encourage more manufacturing companies in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region to implement environmental practices and credit their excellence in environmental protection.

In 2010, Lake Side has successfully completed four environmental projects in the areas of energy conservation, water management, green management – cleaner production and green innovation.
