Specialty Cluster Guide Service (STRD), founded by Shanghai Textile Science Academy, is a significant information provider on science and technology. It helps to establish infrastructure facilities for science and technology centers for the public. It also provides IT services.

STRD provides information regarding the academy as well as information about textile industry in China and abroad. It offers services to textile and apparel factories countrywide.

STRD is presently conducting a study on Sino-American home textile market in collaboration with California Technological University. It is to organize an international forum on home textiles soon.
