Ningbo's success factors
Quality suppliers, ease of transportation and perfect timing are the keys to a successful trade exhibition. The first NINGBO INTERNATIONAL SOURCING EXPO will be held in early March, tapping into the important spring buying season at the start of the year. Conveniently, the show dates coincide with the 19th East China Fair, the largest regional trade fair in China, held annually in Shanghai, with 80,000 visitors attending in 2008. Ningbo can be easily reached from Shanghai by road travel via the bridge, which links the two cities. Tapping into the huge market of China
Riding on the continued economic boom, China’s GDP achieved an average growth rate of 10.6% over the past five years. In April of 2008, the national consumer products revenue reached 814.2 billion yuan, up 22% from a year ago. Wholesales and retail revenue grew 21.9% from last year and climbed up to 689.9 billion yuan. China’s huge market demand is fuelled by an emerging and strong purchasing power in the world’s most populated country.
